Before taking a measurement

Make sure you follow these guidelines before taking a measurement:

  • Wait at least 15 minutes after waking up, working out or showering before taking your measurement.
  • Wait at least 15 minutes after consuming any nicoteine, alcohol or caffeine.
  • Sit down and rest for 5 minutes before you begin with your feet flat on the floor.
  • Ensure your left arm is bare.
  • Wrap the cuff around your left bicep, one inch above your elbow at your heart level, with the tube extending toward your hand and tighten until comfortably tight. For full placement instructions, see this article.
  • Ensure the monitor is at least 1.5 feet (40 cm) away from any electronics, power supplies or power outlets.
  • Remove all jewelry or accessories from your left arm.

How to take a measurement

To take a measurement, follow these simple steps:

  1. Place your left hand on a table, palm up.
  2. Press the On/Off button to turn on the BPM Pro 2.
  3. Choose your user profile.
  4. Select either Blood Pressure x3 or Blood Pressure.
  5. Press OK to begin the measurement.
  6. If you want to cancel, press the On/Off button.

Note: BPM Pro 2 can register approximately 16 measurements without syncing.

Popping noise during measurement

With a brand new FlexiFit cuff, you might hear a rhythmic popping noise occasionally while the cuff is inflating for a measurement. This is normal when the cuff is new and is due to the material itself conforming to the specific circumference of your arm. This should cease after the first 20 measurements.

However, if this continues after 20 measurements, contact support as it may indicate another issue.

Note: This does not offer any safety risks to the user.
