Withings recommends that if you have a pacemaker, defibrillator or other electric implant, to maintain a minimum distance of 6 inches or 15 cm between BPM Connect and your implanted device to mitigate the risk of electromagnetic interference. In case of doubt, always consult your doctor prior to use.

Withings devices are connected via Bluetooth and/or WiFi. This means that they radiate electromagnetic fields that may interfere with other medical devices. If you have a pacemaker, an insulin pump, or another implantable active medical device, use precautions with connected objects.

Indeed, the American Heart Association (AHA) considers that connected objects present limited risks for the functioning of a pacemaker but recommends trying to keep all motors and antennas at least 15 cm away from the pacemaker or ICD. This precaution is not compatible with a blood pressure monitor worn on the arm.
