iGlucose - I'm getting an error message. What do I do?
Here is a handy guide to understanding the various error messages you may receive on your iGlucose glucose monitor.
Sampling error / Insert a new strip / Strip error
Auto-coding error / BGM Voltage error
HI or LO message / Device malfunction
Sampling error / Insert a new strip / Strip error
- Verify that iGlucose Strips are used and within expiration date. If they are incorrect or expired, do not continue using them.
- Inspect the test strips for damage. If they are damaged or contaminated, do not continue using them.
- Take another test.
Auto-coding error / BGM Voltage error
- Make sure that the test strip has been removed from the device.
- Turn off the meter by holding the Home button for 3-5 seconds.
- Turn the meter back on by holding the Home button for 3-5 seconds.
HI or LO message / Device malfunction
- Verify that iGlucose Strips are used and within expiration date. If they are incorrect or expired, do not continue using them.
- Perform a quality check with control solution.
- If the result is out of range compared to the range printed on your test strip vial, please perform a second quality check.
- If the result is still out of range, or within range but the error message still appears, please contact our Support.
- Verify that iGlucose Strips are used and within expiration date. If they are incorrect or expired, do not continue using them.
- Inspect the test strips for damage. If they are damaged or contaminated, do not continue using them.
- Retest with a new test strip. Follow closely the instructions on how to apply a blood sample.
- If the meter continues to display the low blood volume message, the device may be malfunctioning.

Move to an area with temperature between 50℉ to 104℉ (10℃ to 40℃) and wait 45 minutes.

Do not artificially heat or cool the device.

Repeat the test with a new test strip.
